Last week, when I learned about Robyn’s As NEVER Seen on Pinterest post, I KNEW I had to play along. I mean, I use Pinterest, but we all know I have a love/hate relationship with it.
I actually figured out what I hate about Pinterest, and it is not the site, but the people who pin and re-pin and then write cheesy comments on their pins. It also annoys me that people blog for Pinterest. Some bloggers write a post with the title “100 Gluten Free Recipes!” I click on the link and it’s a list with links on it. Um, Seriously, I am NOT going to click on 100 links! It just annoys me that they lured me to their site and it feels like a misrepresentation. The title should have read “100 great links to Gluten Free Recipes.”
I also don’t understand, “Pin now, read later.” Why pin it if you are just going to go back to it? Do you really think you will have time to do that? Plus, I do get annoyed by old links that don’t actually go anywhere.
On the other hand, I do enjoy looking at the site for new ideas. I have also found some wonderful recipes that I actually made. But it still annoys me, which is why I use it sparingly.
Oh, I digress…So when I heard about Robyn’s post on Hollow Tree Ventures, my mind raced. I knew I could make something up to contribute. However, one quick look around my house, especially in my daughter’s room, I could see that I didn’t actually have to make anything up. My whole house is the model of “As NEVER seen on Pinterest!”
I submitted 3 entries, two are sprinkled throughout my post. However, if you want to see the one Robyn chose to feature, plus her comedic styling of it, you’re going to have to visit her blog. Trust me, it is worth your time, well, if you like to laugh that is. Her post makes me feel better about my non-pin-able house. My pin is in the “Children” section. It is worth the scroll. Make you sure you read the other pins along the way, they will make anyone who lives in a “lived in” house laugh.
